Being the biggest state of the country (147798 square miles), holds only the 5% of the general population, giving this land of tepuyes a unique virgin essence; especially provided by the nature, the Bolivar state possesses some of the most impressive natural monuments: “The Great Savannah” (Canaima National Park), The Karapakupay Merú (Angel’s fall), the highest fall of the world (1063.36 yards) and the “Sarisariñama Chasm” one of the deepest of the planet.
Besides, it is crossed by the Orinoco, the third wealthy river of the world and the longest second of South America, a fact that gave the Venezuelan people the opportunity of building the “Güri Dam” which supplies electric power to the rest of the country and allows the development of the mining industries of the area.
